4/25/2018 0 Comments BBW: Big Beautiful and WorthyI am a voracious reader—like I read six to seven books each week. I love the written word more than I love social interactions, which means I am more likely to take a book to a party than not. With that said, I’ve read a ton of books…and I’ve noticed something: there are no chubby girls in romance novels.
Where are all the big, beautiful women hiding? Okay, that isn’t fair—there are SOME, but I have to dig to find them. Why? Either the fact they are chubby is buried in the book, or the blurb doesn’t say that the heroine is chubby, or the author mentions that the heroine is chubby in an off-hand way. What’s the point of making the heroine a BBW if you aren’t going to give it a place of honor in the damn book? I am a plus-sized goddess, and my boyfriend LOVES that about me—he also happens to be drop-dead gorgeous. Our romance is as real as it gets, and you know what? I am a size 16, he has an 8-pack, and we are absolutely, completely in love. He adores every curve of my body, and he isn’t the only toned cover-model worthy man to love a woman with more stretch marks than Glamour Shots. And so, I wanted to write that kind of romance; a romance where the BBW gets the hot, sexy, drop-dead gorgeous man. Each one of my contemporary and erotic romance books feature a woman with curves, big tits, big ass, and double-digit pants size. Why? Because every woman on this planet deserves to be loved for who she is. Every woman who reads romance should feel that they are a part of the story, that they are beautiful, amazing, and worthy of that all-consuming love with their fantasy man. Does that happen in real life? I am living proof that it does. Romance is for all women—size 16 or size nothing. And I am determined to make the BBW an industry standard.
